TRAINING: Doodem Aki: Renewal and Reconnection
Wednesday July 22, 2026 9:00am - 10:15am ADT
Doodem Aki is an experiential professional development training that equips frontline
workers, therapists, social and youth workers, family support professionals, and
Indigenous wellness practitioners with practical tools for integrating land-based
mental health approaches into individual, group, and community practice.

Grounded in Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing), participants will explore the intersection
of Indigenous ways of knowing and contemporary mental health research, examining
how land based movement, mindfulness, expressive writing, storytelling, and the
Seven Sacred Teachings can support mental wellness, resilience, prevention, and early
intervention.
